To Boldly Go!

Greetings all! 

 To kick off the first entry of "Fun and Games" I just wanted to put down how excited I am to go Star Trek tonight. There has been considerable hype and much speculation to the re-launch of the Star Trek movies by director JJ Abrams. See the trailer here. I've been a fan of Abrams work on Alias, Lost, and may have even enjoyed his time as writer on Murder She Wrote. He's said that this isn't a movie for Star Trek fans, but a movie for a wider audience. That could be taken as good or bad. Star Trek canon is a touchy thing and the fans are very tech savvy and vocal when they don't like a movie. Thankfully, the early reviews are the film is exciting and entertaining. We'll see....
